Privacy by Design. Last Letter is built with your privacy at its core. We collect zero personal data. There are no analytics, no ads, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. All speech processing happens entirely on your device and is never recorded or transmitted.
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Qloud LTD ("we", "our", or "us") handles your information when you use Last Letter (Bundle ID: ltd.qloud.lastletter), a word chain game available on the App Store.
Last Letter is designed with a strong commitment to your privacy. The app operates with minimal permissions, performs all processing on-device, and does not collect, store, or transmit personal data to any server.
2. Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal information.
Last Letter does not require user accounts for local play. The app does not use analytics, tracking pixels, advertising frameworks, or any mechanism that gathers data about you or your device. Specifically, we do not collect:
- Names, email addresses, or contact information
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Location data
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
- Crash reports sent to our servers
Last Letter has no in-app purchases and displays no advertisements, so no payment or ad-related data is ever processed.
3. Microphone & Speech Recognition
Last Letter may request access to your device's Microphone and Speech Recognition capabilities. Both permissions are entirely optional.
How it works:
- If granted, speech-to-text is used to let you speak your word answers instead of typing them
- All speech processing is performed on-device using Apple's built-in SFSpeechRecognizer framework
- No audio is ever recorded, stored, or transmitted to any server
- If you deny either permission, the app falls back to standard text input with no loss of functionality
You can revoke microphone or speech recognition permissions at any time in Settings > Last Letter.
4. Apple Game Center
Last Letter supports online multiplayer through Apple's Game Center service. If you choose to play online, Game Center handles matchmaking and player identity.
Game Center is an Apple service governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not access, store, or process any Game Center data on our own servers. Your Game Center display name and profile are managed entirely by Apple.
Online multiplayer is optional. You can enjoy Last Letter in local mode without signing into Game Center.
5. Third-Party Services
Last Letter does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics services, advertising networks, or data brokers. The only external service used is Apple Game Center (described above), which is a first-party Apple service.
No data about you is shared with, sold to, or made available to any third party.
6. Data Storage & Security
All game data (scores, settings, progress) is stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage mechanisms. We do not operate servers that store user data.
Since no personal data is collected or transmitted, there is no risk of data breach from our side. Your local game data is protected by the security features built into iOS, including device encryption when a passcode is enabled.
7. Children's Privacy
Last Letter does not collect personal information from any user, including children. The app contains no ads, no in-app purchases, no social features beyond Apple Game Center, and no mechanism for entering personal information.
While the app is not specifically directed at children under 13, its zero-data-collection design means it complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar international regulations.
8. Encryption
Last Letter does not use any non-exempt encryption. The app's export compliance setting ITSAppUsesNonExemptEncryption is set to NO. Standard iOS platform encryption (such as HTTPS for Game Center) is handled by Apple at the operating system level.
9. Your Rights
Because we do not collect or store any personal data on our servers, there is no data for us to provide, correct, or delete. You maintain complete control over your information at all times.
If you wish to remove all locally stored game data, you can simply delete the app from your device. To manage Game Center data, visit your Apple ID settings.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
If we make material changes that affect your rights, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users through the App Store update notes.
